GMKA Joins Global Changemakers at the Clinton Global Initiative 2026 Annual Meeting

The Global Medical Knowledge Alliance (GMKA) took part in the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2026 Annual Meeting, held September 22–23 in New York City during UN General Assembly week — one of the most influential convenings on the global calendar, bringing together heads of state, Nobel laureates, business leaders, philanthropists, and civil society organizations working to address the world's most pressing challenges.

GMKA was represented by Olga Maihutiak, MD, Chief of Staff, Programs and Operations, who engaged with institutions and changemakers in global health, education, innovation, and international development to deepen the organization's network and partnerships.

Marking the Clinton Foundation's 25th anniversary, this year's meeting was organized around the theme "How Do We Get It Right?" — a call to move beyond naming global challenges toward building practical, collaborative solutions with lasting impact. That focus closely reflects GMKA's approach in Ukraine: connecting Ukrainian healthcare professionals and institutions with leading international medical and academic partners, and turning those connections into education, clinical collaboration, digital tools, and stronger healthcare capacity.

"The most meaningful partnerships are the ones that turn shared ambition into results," said Olga Maihutiak. "That is the role GMKA has built for itself: connecting people and institutions internationally and turning those relationships into practical opportunities for Ukrainian healthcare professionals, hospitals, and patients. Being part of CGI puts us in conversation with other changemakers asking the same question — how to move from ideas to sustainable solutions — and gives Ukraine a stronger voice in shaping those solutions."

GMKA's participation builds on its engagement with CGI in 2025, when the organization presented HealUA, its innovative platform providing Ukrainian medical doctors a secure digital space for peer-to-peer consultations, clinical experience exchange, and collaboration with the international medical community.

GMKA's continued presence at CGI is a mark of credibility — a signal that its work connecting Ukraine's healthcare system with leading international medical, educational, and clinical institutions is recognized by the global community. These relationships help bring expertise and support to Ukrainian healthcare today while laying the foundation for a more resilient healthcare system for the future.
