6th Ukrainian Stroke Congress
On October 9–10, 2026, the 6th Ukrainian Stroke Congress will take place in Lviv, Ukraine, bringing together Ukrainian and international experts to discuss current approaches to stroke prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, nursing, and long-term recovery.
The Congress is organized by the Ukrainian Anti-Stroke Association (UASA) in partnership with Global Medical Knowledge Alliance (GMKA), the Italian Stroke Association (ISA-AII), the Ukrainian Association of Endovascular Neuroradiology, the Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapy (UAPT), the Ukrainian Society of Speech and Language Therapists, and the Ukrainian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. The event is endorsed by the European Stroke Organisation (ESO).
The two-day program convenes physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, researchers, healthcare leaders, and international experts working across the continuum of stroke care.

Program Focus
The Congress addresses key priorities in modern stroke care, including brain health and stroke prevention, intensive care for severe stroke, disorders of consciousness, hemorrhagic stroke, cerebral small vessel disease, rehabilitation, and nursing care.
Additional sessions focus on risk factor management and secondary stroke prevention, early mobilization and prevention of complications, management of elevated intracranial pressure, and stroke risk and care during pregnancy and menopause.

The program also includes workshops on mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke and nursing in stroke care.
