GMKA is committed to breaking gender stereotypes in medicine, ensuring that physicians are evaluated solely on their professional competencies, not on gender. We launched our "Women in Surgery" initiative to support, advocate for, and mentor women surgeons, empowering them to excel in their careers. As our community grew, we expanded the project to "Women in Medicine," cultivating an innovative and safe community for women medical students, residents, and physicians across all specialties.
Our efforts go beyond support. We actively produce and share high-quality educational materials, offer tailored consultations, and unite our members around shared goals: to develop professional competencies, foster motivation, and build a secure, transparent, and inclusive medical environment. Together, we inspire each other to achieve excellence in medicine and overcome barriers.
In addition, GMKA conducts nationwide studies to expose and address ongoing gender discrimination in Ukrainian medicine. We collaborate with leading experts and thought leaders, host impactful webinars, and explore practical strategies to dismantle gender biases and create a truly equal playing field.

In the 21st century, there should be no division between “male” and “female” professions. Prejudices like "surgery is for men" or "you can't have a family with this job" belong to the past, and we are committed to breaking these barriers. Achieving the best outcomes in patient care requires collaboration and mutual respect between men and women.

Challenging the status quo is never easy, but with the right support, real change is possible. GMKA offers the resources, community, and guidance you need to make a difference. By joining our discussions, sharing your experiences, and promoting women’s leadership initiatives, you can help overcome gender inequality and expand opportunities for female professional development.
